The Chrism Mass was held March 22, 2016 at the Cathedral of St. Joseph the Workman, where priests from across the Diocese joined Bishop Callahan for the blessing of holy oils they will use in their own parishes during the coming year. Chrism is a mixture of olive oil and balsam fragrant extracts that is consecrated by a bishop to be used in the administration of the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Orders.

Join us for a day of family fun at Royal Event! There will be a food fair, gift baskets, raffles, entertainment on stage, many crafters, midway games and inflatables, a petting zoo and much more! Fun for ALL ages!

 

EUCHARISTIC MIRACLES OF THE WORLD: VATICAN INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION
All Saints Parish in Stanley, Boyd and Cadott

Friday, May 27                    8:30 a.m.-7 p.m.
Saturday, May 28               9:30 a.m.-9 p.m.
Sunday, May 29                  9:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

Stop by the exhibits and witness how Jesus has miraculously manifested himself throughout the centuries and how this proves he is totally present body, blood, soul and divinity in the holy Eucharist.

The exhibition will have 126 photographic, historically documented eucharistic miracles from various countries since the Last Supper.
All faiths are welcome.
Free admission.

 

THE SPIRIT OF GOLD: A RETREAT FOR MEN
Fri., June 17, 1 p.m.–Sun., June 19, noon
Franciscan Spirituality Center, 920 Market St, La Crosse Series: The Spirit of Golf: A Retreat for Men

Steve Spilde, associate director of the FSC and dedicated golfer, will lead this retreat to study the life lessons we can learn from this beautiful and frustrating game. Using M. Scott Peck’s book Golf and the Spirit, we will consider such lessons as: Spirituality (as well as golf) is the attempt to be in harmony with an unseen order of things.
Participants will enjoy 45 holes of golf over three days, time for personal reflection, small group discussion, large-group presentations linking golf and spirituality, evening socials and good food and conversation.
Full retreat: $325, includes retreat, all meals, two nights’ stay and green fees. Commuter: $250, includes retreat, two dinners, one lunch and green fees.
