“This is not an urban issue; this is our issue”
Milwaukee – Fr. Timothy Kitzke, Vicar General for Urban Ministry, invites all to come together in prayer as a response to the violent protests that erupted in Milwaukee this past weekend.

A Prayer Vigil for peace is scheduled for Thursday, August 18, 2016, 6:30 p.m. at All Saints Parish, 4051 N. 25th Street, Milwaukee.

Representatives from the 198 parishes in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee have been invited to stand together in solidarity with our brothers and sisters.

“Our first response is, as always in times of need and brokenness, prayer. This is our issue as believers in the Gospel of Jesus Christ,” explained Fr. Kitzke. “The hopelessness of seeming insurmountable issues must be met together from wherever we live. United in our belief in the Paschal Mystery, we hope to move from the seeming Armageddon of a destructive weekend to the mission of making a just and peaceful society for all. With God’s help, we shall prevail!”
