This Domestic Church Evangelization Retreat begins on Saturday morning at 8:00 AM and ends at 3:30 PM on Sunday. During the retreat, couples are invited to delve more deeply into the graces of their shared spiritual journey. The goal of the retreat is to strengthen the couple’s spousal union and lead them to experience complete harmony and joy in their marriage through simple formation and meaningful dialogue that intentionally places Christ in the center.

Joe McGivney bio: A lifelong alcoholic, Joe McGivney drank himself into brain damage, leading to an incurable psychotic condition. He was committed to a locked psychiatric ward, and his family was told he would need care 24/7 the rest of his life. Then one morning he woke up completely well. This miracle led to Joe’s recovery from alcoholism and return to his Catholic faith. He wrote You’re a Miracle! My Story of Alcoholism, Miraculous Healing, and God’s Infinite Power and Love, and accompanied by his wife Nicole, he has been sharing his story with audiences across the country.


Keaton Douglas bio: Keaton Douglas, Executive Director of the iTHIRST initiative, is a consultant, educator, counselor and frequent guest speaker on the role of Catholic spirituality in the prevention, treatment, and aftercare of those suffering from substance use disorders and their families. She is the creator of the iTHIRST Spiritual Companionship Training, certified through Seton Hall University, which forms lay leaders and clergy for this mission. Today, hundreds of certified iTHIRST Spiritual Companions are working in parishes, Catholic schools and hospitals, treatment facilities, correctional facilities, and re-entry programs throughout the U.S. and beyond.

Holy Family Church in Willard is holding a brat, burger and bake sale featuring potica and apple strudel while supplies last.  There will also be a bucket raffle and rummage sale.

In celebration of Divine Mercy Sunday, a great solemnity, festival, and celebration of the Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Council 6568 is hosting a public Mass for the state of Wisconsin at the James Madison Park. Anyone is invited to attend. 

Following this Mass, there will be a Eucharistic procession around the capitol building, and then we will continue the celebration with food and drink at James Madison Park courtesy of local, Catholic-owned businesses

This annual event coincides with the National Day of Prayer and is open to the public. It
includes a meal, a time of offered prayers, special music, and a keynote by Jim
Bontrager, a U.S. Marine and President of the International Conference of Police
Chaplains. He is the founder and director of Warrior on the Wall, which addresses law
enforcement suicide, family breakdown, and the emotional and spiritual challenges
unique to the profession. In 2015, he was honored with the Sagamore of the Wabash
Award, Indiana’s highest civil honor recognizing distinguished service to the state, by
Indiana Governor Mike Pence.
