Pork sandwiches, scalloped potatoes, coleslaw, baked beans, homemade pies and ice cream. The cost will be $12 for adults and $5 for children 6 and under. Dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will also be a bake sale, basket raffle and raffle tickets available for purchase. Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Jim Falls will be serving their annual Pork Steak Dinner along with a bake sale, cake walk and raffle. The menu is pork steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, dumplings, sauerkraut, beans, rolls, dessert, coffee and milk. The cost of the meal is per plate and is $13.00 for adults, 12 years and under is $6.00 and preschool is free.  There will also be carry-outs available. We will be serving from 11:00 am until 1:30 pm.

St. Mary Parish, Coon Valley will hold their annual Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, October 12, 2025 from 7:30 AM – gone or Noon (whichever comes first).  Meal includes: delicious stack of pancakes with local real maple syrup, eggs, sausage, applesauce, milk, orange juice and coffee! Also purchase a tasty treat to take home from the bake sale! $10 for adults, $5 children ages 6-12, 5 and under free.  Make your pancakes just the way you like them with our topping bar! Your choice of maple syrup, blueberries, strawberries, chocolate syrup, sprinkles, whip cream and peanut butter (while supplies last).

This final event coincides with the Jubilee of Marian Devotion, which will be celebrated in Rome. At this event, Fr. James Kurzynski will offer a reflection on the virtue of hope.

For the Jubilee year, the Church of the Resurrection Catholic Church in Wausau has been designated as a pilgrimage site. By completing a pilgrimage to the this church the Jubilee plenary indulgence may be obtained under the usual conditions.

“Despite the rule that only one plenary indulgence can be obtained per day (cf. Enchiridion Indulgentiarum, IV ed., norm. 18, § 1), the faithful who have carried out an act of charity on behalf of the souls in Purgatory, if they receive Holy Communion a second time that day, can obtain the plenary indulgence twice on the same day, applicable only to the deceased” (Decree on the Granting of Indulgence during the Ordinary Jubilee Year 2025, III).

MARK YOUR CALENDAR! For the 2nd Annual Granny Basketball exhibition game, with the La Crosse Doe’s (Grannys) challenging some of our favorite priests, the Diocesan Padres. The game will be Monday, October 27, 2025 at Aquinas High School in La Crosse. Doors open at 7:00 pm with all donations at the door supporting the children of Casa Hogar Juan Pablo II in Peru. Last year, we raised $4,000… let’s beat that with grit, giggles, and granny hook shots!
