  • St. Ladislaus Parish "Event in Bevent" - Hatley - Aug. 28-29

    St. Ladislaus Church, 173141 State Highway 153, Hatley, WI

    St. Ladislaus Parish in Bevent is holding their “Event in Bevent” with Mass being celebrated on Saturday, Aug. 28 at 4 p.m. with Polka music. Parish grounds will be open from 5 p.m. to midnight. There will be polka and country bands, a wooden dance floor, hamburger stand and snack shack, beer bar, cash and ATV raffles, mini-raffles, country store, country café, cherry tree, pull-tabs, children’s games and more.

    On Sunday, Mass will be celebrated at 10:10 a.m. with polka music. Parish grounds will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Polka bands from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., a wooden dance floor, hamburger stand and snack shack, beer bar, cash and ATV raffles, mini-raffles, country store, country café, cherry tree, pull-tabs, children’s games and more.

  • St. John the Baptist Parish Fall Festival - Cooks Valley

    St. John the Baptist Parish in Cooks Valley will be holding their Fall Festival on Sunday, Sept. 12 from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

    There will be a charcoal chicken dinner served from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., an auction beginning at noon, a raffle, silent auction, ticket auction, country store, cake walk, children’s games and a food stand.

    The dinner will also include scalloped potatoes, a vegetable, coleslaw, cucumber salad, homemade bread, bars and a beverage. Cost for the meal is $10 for adults, children 6-12, $5 and preschoolers are free.

    The menu: pancakes with the choice of cranberry syrup (secret recipe) or organic maple syrup, sausage, cranberry sauce, coffee, milk and cranberry juice.

    Cost for the meal: adults, $7, children, $4. Children five and under eat for FREE.
