  • Queen of the Apostles Parish Huge Rummage Sale - Tomah - June 21-23

    Queen of the Apostles Parish in Tomah is organizing a HUGE rummage sale in the school on Friday, June 21, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, June 22, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

    Lunch and bakery items will be available for purchase during the event. The proceeds from the sale will benefit Queen of the Apostles Parish Youth Ministry.

    Why do we do this? Adventure Camp provides an experience for young people to engage in their faith in ways they never imagined. The high adventure gives young people a chance to challenge themselves physically and mentally while being encouraged by their fellow campers. The most important part of Adventure Camp is the young people growing more deeply in their relationship with Christ and connecting it to every aspect of their lives.

  • 4th Annual Diocesan Vocations Golf Outing & Dinner - La Crosse

    The 4th Annual Diocesan Golf Outing is set for Monday, June 24 at Fox Hollow Golf Course. This golf outing benefits vocations to the priesthood. Please join us and golf with our seminarians.

    The day begins at 10:30 a.m. with registration.

    Shotgun start at noon. A sack lunch will be provided. However, if you want to order from the restaurant, please call 608.786.4653 before 11 a.m.

    There will be a social (cash bar) and 6 p.m. dinner to follow.

  • Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration to Host Organ Concert

    The Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration are hosting an Organ Recital on Sunday, June 30 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

    Immerse yourself in the enchanting world of music as Dennis Siebenalar, a former student of Sister Rosemary Desmond and Sister Mary Ann Gschwind, takes center stage for a captivating organ concert.

     

    Dennis Siebenaler holds a DMA in Music Education from the University of Texas-Austin, an MM in piano Performance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and BM and BME degrees in Piano and Music Education (vocal, K-12) from Viterbo University in La Crosse. Dr. Siebenaler has been a presenter at numerous state, national and international conferences, and has had articles published in leading music education journals. Dr. Siebenaler recently retired as a professor from California State University, Fullerton, in the areas of music education and musicianship and as an organist at Tustin Presbyterian Church (California). As a member of the Orange County Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, he has appeared in two Member’s Recitals and recently served on the Executive Board as recording secretary. He has also worked as a studio piano teacher and professional accompanist. His honors included memberships in Phi Kappa Phi and Pi Kappa Lambda honor societies.   

    Guests joining us in the chapel are welcome to use the 901 Franciscan Way entrance. The accessible entrance is located at 701 Franciscan Way.

    The concert is free. However, a free-will donation will be taken to cover the band expenses. There will also be a 50/50 drawing.

    In the event of rain, the concert and food will be held in the church hall.
