Why do we do this? Adventure Camp provides an experience for young people to engage in their faith in ways they never imagined. The high adventure gives young people a chance to challenge themselves physically and mentally, while being encouraged by their fellow campers. The most important piece of Adventure Camp is the young people growing more deeply with their relationship with Christ and connecting it to every aspect of their lives.

Margaret-Mary Sauppé (née Owens) earned her Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) and Master of Music (MM) in Organ Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. She received her Bachelor of Music (BM) at The Florida State University with Dr. Iain Quinn. Dr. Sauppé is a respected piano and organ teacher, and has been a lecturer, teacher, and involved board member for local AGO chapters since 2013. An active researcher, her primary interest has focused on the keyboard works of astronomer Sir William Herschel, partially published in the Organ Historical Society’s (OHS) journal The Tracker (Oct 2023). Her most recent article for the OHS involved publishing newly declassified documents in “Charles B. Fisk and His Work on the Atomic Bomb.” (Jan 2025). Sauppé has performed numerous concerts across the United States. In April 2023, she performed her international debut on the 1746 Hildebrandt “Bach” organ in Naumburg, Germany, which was broadcast on the Belgian internet radio Organroxx.

You are invited to come and celebrate the 17th Anniversary of the Shrine’s Dedication, a day to thank God for all who have shared in Cardinal Burke’s vision for this place of pilgrimage under Our Lady’s mantle since the church’s Solemn Dedication on July 31, 2008. The 12:15 pm Mass will be celebrated by Cardinal Burke. For this year’s Anniversary, the Shrine has the profound joy of also welcoming His Eminence Willem Jacobus Cardinal Eijk, Archbishop of Utrecht in The Netherlands. Cardinal Ejik will be the homilist for the Dedication Anniversary Mass. There will be a receiving line for the faithful following Holy Mass.

Please join us as His Eminence Raymond Leo Cardinal Burke offers the Solemn Pontifical Mass in the Usus Antiquior. The Pontifical Mass with Cardinal Burke takes place at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in La Crosse, WI.

August 5th is the patronal feast day of the Basilica of Saint Mary Major in Rome. In 2011 Pope Benedict the XVI affiliated the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe with the Papal Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore (Saint Mary Major) in Rome. On August 5, pilgrims have the occasion to gain a Plenary Indulgence.
