    Holy Family Parish, Willard, will hold a rummage sale on Friday, April 24, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 25, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. On Saturday, in addition to the rummage sale, there will also be a brat and burger sale, a bake sale, and a bucket raffle.

    An all-you-can-eat smelt fry will be held on April 30th from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Chippewa Falls Knights of Columbus Council 974 will be your hosts.

    The menu will feature deep-fried smelt, potato salad, coleslaw, baked beans, and homemade bread with beverages.

    Cost for the meal: $15 at the door. Carry-outs will be available.

    Those attending the meal will be entered in a cash sweepstakes drawing for prizes. There will also be several raffles throughout the evening.

  • Light & Beauty: Stained Glass Treasures of La Crosse Tour - La Crosse

    Five churches in La Crosse

    Get ready to be amazed by a stunning collection of stained glass on La Crosse's first-ever tour of church windows. Whether you choose to ride the trolley or take a self-guided tour, you'll be captivated by the extraordinary beauty of both traditional and contemporary stained glass artistry displayed in five local churches in La Crosse.

    **Trolley Option:** If you choose this option, please park in the parking lot at 9th and Market streets. Proceed to the entrance of Mary of the Angels Chapel at St. Rose Convent, located at 701 Franciscan Way. You will enjoy a brief presentation on the history of stained glass, led by Professor Vickie Holtz and Michael Wodzak. Dedicated docents will be available to assist you during your tour of the chapel. You will then be escorted to San Damiano Chapel at Viterbo University. Once you complete the tour there, you will board the trolley. The trolley emcee will review parish history as you travel to each church.

    SELF-GUIDED OPTION: Drive, bike or walk, on your own, to any of the tour sites. Begin at any location. Each church will have volunteers and docents who will answer questions and assist you in enjoying the stained glass windows.

    Ticket prices:

    Self-guided student: $10
    Self-guided: $15
    Trolley: $30
