Milwaukee, WI   (January 31, 2017) ….Capuchin Franciscan preacher and author, Father Richard Hart, will be conducting a parish mission renewal at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel, 3995 County Road K, Amherst, March 26-30. St. James parish and St. Mary of Mt. Carmel are co-hosting the event. The theme of the renewal is Reclaim the Fire.

Reclaim the Fire will focus on Pope Francis’ invitation to become a missionary disciple, how all of us are invited to share our faith which springs from our baptism.

“Our faith is too precious a gift for us to keep secret and needs to be enkindled by the power and fire of the Holy Spirit,” Fr. Richard Hart explains. “We are challenged to become a more welcoming, caring, listening person and community. We are also encouraged to become a forgiving person and community which will be done in the sacrament of reconciliation, culminating with an evening Mass–which is the summit and source of our Christian faith– on the last night of the parish mission.”

The parish mission renewal is an event designed to renew faith and strengthen convictions within a parish setting.

There will be evening programs on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 6:30 p.m.  Thursday night will be a closing Eucharistic liturgy.   Father Richard will be preaching at the weekend services.

There is no charge for this event.  For more information, call 715-824-3649.
