Blessed Sacrament Parish: The St. Joseph Table - La Crosse
Blessed Sacrament Parish: The St. Joseph Table - La Crosse
March 14, 2026 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 130 Losey Blvd S, La Crosse, WI 54601, USA
The St. Joseph Table dinner will be held on Saturday, March 14, in the Parish Center after the 4:30 p.m. Mass.
Why is this held? When Sarah Sceery, the development officer for the Father Joe Walijewski Legacy Guild, asked for "support of the Guild and beginning a new tradition of St. Joseph's Table in your homes and parishes," it was only natural for our parish to be part of this tradition since Father Joe Walijewski was part of our parish family.
What is a St. Joseph Table? St. Joseph's Table is a long-standing tradition in Italy that honors St. Joseph, the earthly father of our Lord Jesus Christ and the husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The St. Joseph's Table is a ritual meal held on or close to March 19th, the Feast of Saint Joseph.
How may I help? We will need help setting up on Saturday morning, serving the food and cleaning up after the meal. If you would like to bring food, traditional St. Joseph's Table foods include minestrone soup, fruit, bread and cream puffs. If you would like to help or for more information, contact the Blessed Sacrament Parish office at 608.782.2953 or Barb at 608.784.6974 or scwjoy@gmail.com.

Mary of the Angels Chapel at St. Rose Convent, 701 Franciscan Way, La Crosse, WI
During this tumultuous time in the Middle East and Iran, we hear Pope Leo when he says, "Stability and peace are not achieved through mutual threats, nor through the use of weapons, which sow destruction....but only through reasonable, sincere and responsible dialogue."
Together with La Crosse-area faith leaders, we invite everyone to an Interfaith Peace Prayer Service.

Walk the Way of the Cross with Survivors of Catholic Clergy Abuse-La Crosse
Walk the Way of the Cross with Survivors of Catholic Clergy Abuse-La Crosse
March 28, 2026 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Mary, Mother of the Church Parish, 2006 Weston St., La Crosse, WI
Join us for the unique opportunity to pray with and for abuse survivors as they connect their own experiences to those of Jesus Christ in His final days.
This prayer experience follows the traditional Stations of the Cross devotion, with each station featuring a personal reflection written by someone who has experienced sexual abuse by clergy or another Catholic leader. The reflections in this service are not graphic, but some sections do reference episodes of abuse and may be triggering to those carrying their own experience of trauma.
Coffee hour to follow in the parish hall. A time to gather, share and be in community with and to support victim-survivors.
