When people hear about fertility awareness or Natural Family Planning, they assume that this is just a “Catholic Thing.” Along with that assumption is that Catholics are expected to sacrifice scientific medical care because of their faith. But that’s not true! The Church teaches God’s loving plan for sexuality, and supports NFP as a method of family planning that cooperates with God’s plan. But fertility awareness and Natural Family Planning is not Catholic teaching. Fertility awareness and Natural Family Planning is good science!
